Cutting Daewoo Large Head Keys

With The DC-300

NOTE: Use NON - DOT Side Of Vise!

Follow these instructions to cut the new Daewoo large head key with the DC-300 machine. This key must be held by the full width of the blank instead of the back of the vise due to the size of the key. It can be duplicated on the machine by holding it in the same manner. Before cutting a key for the first time, we suggest code cutting a practice key on an aftermarket blank if one is available and checking the key in the door lock or trunk.

The space key required for this key is a 300T. Insert the key in the right vise as you normally would. Next, insert the large head key into the left vise, holding it by the full width of the blank (see Figure 1). Assure that the blank is not tipping up or down in the vise since you will only be using the third of the key towards the head of the blank to line the key up. Be sure the tip stop on the machine extends far enough to stop the key at the tip, and not along the angled tip of the blank.

The 3C, 11A or 200A cam should be used in conjunction with the 300T space key to originate this key. When duplicating, be sure the cam is on the #1 position as usual.
